I have always been extremely interested in fashion and what was edgy and/or "in" to wear. I don't wear sweatpants to class. Ever. I prefer to dress nicely and put people on their toes a bit. In my town, there is about 50,000 people and at Oregon State University there is about 20,000 students. I must say, most students don't dress up for class and most students don't really have their own sense of style [I love finding the ones that do though! Props to the foreign exchange students for being fashion forward]. There is a big GREEK life at our college so what's "in style" is the basic sorority style: American Apparel hoodie, yoga pants, Ugg boots, and if it's cold, a Northface jacket. Since when is this style? I would rather stand out and be stared at for wearing heels in a casual setting than to blend in like the rest. Plus, it makes me feel good about myself and my boyfriend loves that I dress up. Besides fashion, my passions are children [inner-city, at-risk youth] and nutrition!
